MESSAGE BY REV FR JOSEPH LOUIS
DIOCESAN EXECUTIVE SECRETARY - CARITAS PAKISTAN LAHORE
Caritas Pakistan Lahore is going through very challenging period as we are working for rehabilitation of flood affected people of massive flood in 2010. The extended monsoon rains and overflow of Sutluj River has affected some areas of district Kasur this year too.
We would like to thank the Lord, who helped us to face the challenges bravely and we are very much hopeful to achieve our set targets within the timeframe. We have supported recent flood victims with relief package in shape of food items in the time of their need.
I would also like to thank His Lordship Bishop Sebastian Shaw, who always encourages us and gives moral support to work for the humanity in better way. His Lordship himself visited flood affected areas to share sympathy with flood victims.
The team of Caritas Pakistan Lahore especially Rehabilitation Project deserves appreciation as they are very much up to the mark rather than the health of the team was not 100% during last few months due to dengue fever.
I want to acknowledge the services of our regular funding partners and every Stakeholder (Target Communities, Volunteers, Caritas Friends and local Partners) for their support and in particular Caritas Pakistan National Secretariat who has always supported us.
Fr. Joseph Louis
Diocesan Executive Secretary
