DISASTER MANAGEMENT:

 

Þ   Funds received for Community Based Disaster Training

Þ   The first training of CBDP was held on April 6th in Sialkot Cant. There will be two more training in Sialkot Cant this month

Þ   Some applications received from residents and non-residents of Archbishop’s campus for Rescue 1122

Þ   No Disaster Standing Committee meeting in the last 2 months

Þ   One application for emergency support received from Lahore Cantt

 

HEALTH

         

Þ   Annual results were announced for year 2008 –2009 (Annania Rehabilitation Center)

Þ   Mrs. Khalida received Syllabus from Government Printing Press (in Brail)

Þ   Medical check and vaccine done through Fr. Asi’s Health program

Þ   Mr. Mike Weekly visited and promised to increase funding

Þ   Rochester Christian Church Ministry supported Annanias Rehabilitation Center

 

 

LOGISTIC SUPPORT CPL

  

Þ   Logistic support Bishop Shah’s guest and relatives

Þ   IT support given to CPL staff, in networking and DSL installed

Þ   Coordinated various in-house CPL programs

Þ   Total Net Profit (Hall Income) after expenditure RS   86,929 + 89, 807= 176, 638

 

NON-FORMAL EDUCATION

 

Þ   Copies of proposed project sent for review and approval but did not receive back

Þ   Prepared three years concise report and worked on proposal for next three years

Þ   Visited apprentices at two places and monitored the process

 

 

AGRICULTURE PROMOTION PROGRAM (APP)

 

Þ   197 animal vaccinated

Þ   3750 tree planted, and Kitchen gardening 

Þ   Refresher course arrangement in process

Þ   Conducted pre-project meeting at Mangobram Adha

Þ   Presented Agriculture program account for CPL audit 2008 

 

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (EDP)

 

Þ   Standing Committee of Livelihood informed about the Manager EDP

Þ   No activities as such, after the termination of Manager

 

HOUSING PROMOTION PROGRAM

 

Þ   Refund cases settled and NOC procedure started

Þ   Separately reported

 

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

 

Þ   Audit 2008 in process

Þ   Quarterly report of Projects submitted to National Office and to Archbishop’s office

Þ   Provident fund information given to staff

Þ   Sialkot housing project visited

Þ   Inventory is updated

 

 

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

 

Þ   LAN, Internet and mail system is working

Þ   Reformed HRM Desk tops and lap tops

Þ   Interviews of job seekers

Þ   Secretarial support to DES, In-house training for Admin staff given

Þ   Coordinated CPL Board meeting and worked on various Committee minutes for final dispatch

Þ   Office ID cards for office staff are ready for lamination

 

CARITAS MEDIA & COMMUNICATION

 

Þ   For job hunting hotels, schools, institutions, and offices were visited

Þ   7 people referred for opportunity

Þ   Christian Media Association was thanked in a one day workshop

Þ   Provide coverage on April 25th 2009 ceremony

Þ   Their Bye-Laws are almost ready

 

ANIMATION (People’s Power)

 

Þ   11 female received diploma on completion of sewing training Narowal

Þ   20 female received diploma in sewing training Hafizabad

Þ   45 teacher received training on Sunday school at Gujranwala 

Þ   Facilitated 51 members to receive loan Rs 970, 000 in diocese

Þ   Majority of animators are on formation of Local Development Committees

Þ   Youhanabad E block received Govt. grant 5,000,000 for sewerage

Þ   Worked on data entry system of domestic working women

Þ   Efforts made to implement the notification issued for the increase of wages of brick kiln workers, Government approved Rs 442/ per 1000 but owners giving only Rs 300 /per 1000.  Issue raised, our workers and staff harassed.

Sanitary workers in Narowal and Sheikhupura will get Rs 215 and Rs 275/- in lieu of Rs. 180/- per day
