FUEL EFFICIENT SMOKELESS STOVE
BACKGROUND
Pakistan is a third world country and most of its inhabitants
are engaged with agriculture. Almost 65 percent population is living in rural
areas, where people are using tree and herbs as a fuel to cook and bake the
food. People are also using trees for the other needs like furniture, sport
goods and building material etc. Because of this the forest are vanishing at
great speed, which is effecting the environment very badly. Secondly tree and
herbs are is such stoves, which raised very much smoke, which is threat for the
women health, who have to manage this all. This smoke also effects the
environment and causes the pollution. So, there is need to educate and train the
community to adopt such methods and techniques for the safety of health and
environment.
GOALS
- To train the volunteers to provide fuel-efficient stoves among targeted
areas
- To introduce fuel efficient stove at doorstep with the help of trained
volunteer
OBJECTIVES
- To organized training workshops
- To save health of target groups from omission of harmful gases
- To save environment
- To lessen deforestation
ACTIVITIES
- Awareness seminar about harmful effect of traditional Stove
- Targeted areas first will be sensitized about harmful effect of smoke on
health, environment, food quality and importance of fuel-efficient stove
- After sensitizing the targeted areas training workshop will be conducted
in these areas in which participants were made fuel-efficient stove
- Regular follow up will be continued

IMPACTS
Impacts of this stove on different aspects of life like; health, food
quality, environment, economic and social are as follows:
