INTEGRATED SANITATION FARMING SYSTEM (ISFS)
BACKGROUND
Our is an agricultural country but due to population
pressure, land segregation, high input cost, low income and unbalancing of
ecosystem the state of this sector is quite fragile. In spite of above this
sector is also a threat for environment due to agrochemicals and waste water.
These agrochemicals and waste water percolate in the soil making it polluted; so
to save the environment and soil, fill the mouth of population and wise use of
waste water is the need of the time.
To cover this ISFS program has been started. In this system
both types of farming (crop farming and live stock) are integrated with waste
water in a chain that is ecologically and economically much beneficial for
humanity and environment.
