MARGINALIZED WORKER PROGRAM

BACKGROUND

The labor sector of Pakistan is facing many problems in their daily life. In spite of their hard work and struggle, they are not being rewarded accordingly. They are hardly managing to feed their family. The Government officials and capitalists are exploiting them in different ways. They are being neglected especially the sanitary and brick kiln workers. The Government has taken some good steps for the betterment of this marginalized group of workers but it has not been implemented. These workers are considered the third class workers and have no respect, security and safety in their work. They are spending their lives on the fate of their employer. This program is started by Caritas in 1999 to the mobilizing and organizing these distressed workers.
